Two amazing things happened last weekend: 1) The weather was wonderful (highs in the 70s) and 2) Brad had the weekend off (well sort of - he ended up operating until 2:30am on Saturday morning and then had a mandatory lecture at 8am on Saturday, but the rest of the weekend was open) so on Sunday afternoon (after I had a lovely girl date with Brooke) we loaded everyone into the car and headed out to Castlewood State Park. I was lobbying for going down by the river and letting Sammy swim. Brad wanted to be a little more active. In the end he won out and we were off on a 3 mile hike. Mike happily rode in his "pack pack" (thank you again Nicole) and Ryan snuggled into the Ergo baby carrier (best carrier ever). Mike did not stop talking for the entire three miles. He pointed out EVERYTHING. And was VERY supportive of Brad's hard efforts while going up the bajillion stairs (Mike commented frequently on how many stairs there were, how he needed a rest and even mimicked Brad's heavy breathing).
