Castlewood State Park

After weeks of mediocre or cold weather the highs were forecasted to jump into the 60s today. Mike had swimming lessons and Brad had a mandatory lecture but we decided to make it a point to get outside and take advantage of the warm weather. Things weren't looking great this morning when it was pouring down rain but by mid-afternoon the skies were clear.

We loaded everyone into the car and met some friends at Castlewood State Park. After a nice hike - complete with Mike tromping through approximately 90% of the big, muddy puddles we encountered - we made our way down to the beach of the Missouri River and let the dogs run and swim and the boys play. Long story short - I think the beach vacation we are planning is going to be quite popular with the boys 😄.
