Catch Up

Wow, it has been a rough month or so for the old blog.  Year end reporting requirements have kept me especially busy at work,and our perpetually busy schedule and sick kids have keep my busy as home.  So here is a quick run down of what has been going on lately.

1) Ryan turned 1.  I can hardly believe it.  We win the award for worst parents ever due to the fact that we cancelled his birthday party.  Yep you read that correctly.  He was sick the week leading up to the party, hardly anyone was able to make it and Mike was on the verge of getting sick also so we cancelled it.  He still got his very own cake to smash and lots of presents so he wasn't too upset about it.  We also had his one year well baby visit.  He is growing just as he should.  He weighed in at 23 lbs 2 oz and is 29.5 inches tall.  He is finally getting the hang of walking and now often prefers walking places over crawling.

2) Brad and I got free tickets to a 3 Doors Down and Daughtry concert and took advantage of a semi-paid for date night (we luckily found a last minute baby sitter).  3 Doors Down was surprisingly awesome.  Perhaps one of the best sounding live bands we have ever seen.  Daughtry was a little too full of himself.  We left (along with a lot of other people) about 3 songs into his set.

3) Tracy Foo came to visit - which was awesome.  She won Mike over again and he still hasn't stopped talking about her.

4) It finally snowed a few inches here, unfortunately Mike was sick and wanted nothing to do with it. I eventually convinced him we should go play and he loved it for 30 minutes until he was D.U.N done.
