The Weekend

 This past weekend was pretty great.  We didn't really have any plans and we spent a large chunk of time doing yard work, but it was still great.  The weather was warm-ish, the sun was bright and we were all together.  Mike was actually amazingly helpful with the yardwork and Ryan was happy to be outside (notice how I didn't bring up how "helpful" Ryan was). 

Aside from the tilling, digging, trimming, mowing, planting and mulching we found time to explore a new conservation area that is nearby. We set out both boys in backpacks and high hopes for a decent hike. Our plans were quickly disrupted when we found out that a large section of the trail was unpassable due to flooding.



Next weekend we have about 40 things planned.  While I'm sure it will also be a great weekend, sometimes the best ones are when nothing is planned.
